of small investments.
There have been no e-gold HYIP that have survived for very long without turning out to be a fraud. Fraudulent e-gold HYIPs are sometimes Ponzi schemes. In these schemes, new investors provide the cash to pay a profit to existing investors. This is done unbeknownst to the new investor. The scheme is perpetuated by finding new investors and convincing old investors to leave their money in the e-gold HYIP.
Advertising for e-gold HYIPs is done in spam emails, forums or from mailing lists. Customers are usually offered a bounty for new customer referrals, so selling e-mail addresses becomes very profitable.
The United States is not usually home to any e-gold HYIPs. They don’t really set up shop in Europe or Japan, either. This is because countries that have strong laws against unregistered investment programs are not friendly to the e-gold HYIPs. The disclosure of information about e-gold HYIPs usually give little or no details about the principals, the management, the location, or any of the other aspects of whom is getting the money to be invested. There is even relatively little information other than claiming that they do various types of trading on various stock and other exchanges about how their e-gold HYIP investment programs actually work.
